Marlize Slabbert is a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist at PACSO, passionate about helping individuals overcome life’s challenges with strength and resilience. She aims to empower her clients by developing healthy coping skills, fostering rational thought patterns, and promoting solution-focused behaviors.
Marlize completed her Clinical Psychology degree at Stellenbosch University with Cum Laude honors and is a registered psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). She has a broad range of experience in supporting individuals through various emotional and psychological challenges, particularly during and after traumatic experiences.
Marlize’s areas of special interest include Adjustment Difficulties, Depression, Anxiety, Loss & Bereavement, and Stress Management. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Integration Therapy (EMI) to ensure personalized and effective treatment for each patient.
