Dr. Christiaan Gildenhuys – Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Christiaan Gildenhuys is a highly skilled Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with extensive experience in both general surgery and reconstructive techniques. After qualifying as a general surgeon, he completed further specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Stellenbosch, giving him a unique insight into the surgical and reconstructive aspects of oncology care.
Since 2016, Dr. Gildenhuys has been in full-time private practice, becoming an integral member of the multidisciplinary team at PACSO. He is passionate about ensuring that every patient has the opportunity to explore reconstructive options as part of their treatment plan from the outset. Dr. Gildenhuys believes in presenting a variety of reconstructive techniques to patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
His goal is to achieve natural-looking, functional results that align with the patient’s oncology treatment, ensuring that the reconstruction complements the overall treatment process without interfering with the oncology protocols.
